Go Natalie and Brandon!!

The Pointe is so excited for Natalie Reid and Brandon Bryant and their amazing performances on So You Think You Can Dance last night! It has been so fun to get to know them this year as they danced with Odyssey Dance Theatre. Natalie and Brandon each choreographed pieces for O3, and taught classes for us. We love them!
After receiving tickets straight to Vegas last night, we are looking forward to a summer of cheering them on!

Congratulations to our graduating senior, Alyssa Goering as she graduates from high school! Alyssa has also been chosen as a recipient of a dance scholarship to SUU!! We are so excited for her and wish her the best!

Goodbye to 2008-2009 Companies!

Wow, The Pointe has been a busy place! Since our last post, our dancers have been amazing!! All teams scored high and received overall recognition at Dance for Life Competition and Dance America Nationals! Along with this, we have had several other performances and our final benefit concert and O3 show. Spring Recital 2009 was amazing! It is so fun to see how much the dancers have progressed over this year!
We look forward to another incredible season next year and wish all dancers the best of luck! Thank you for your support of The Pointe Academy!

For Mariann; A Right to Dance Benefit Concert

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Mariann! It was a wonderful night!!
We were able to raise money and make a girls' dream come true!
The surprise of the night was Benji Schwimmer!! He drove all the way from LA just to be here for Mariann's big night! Thanks Benji!! His impromptu duet with Mariann was unforgettable.
Huge thank you's to all the performers including, Odyssey Dance Theatre; Eldon Johnson, Lisa Benson, Katie Allred, Napolean Gladney, Brandon Bryant, and Matt Dorame, BYU Club Style, Foot Poetry Tap Dance Ensemble, Saratoga Performing Arts Studio, Lone Peak High School Dance Company, O3, and The Pointe Companies.

Bring Your Dad to Dance Week!

Here is a Shout Out to all those great Pointe Papas who came out to Bring Your Dad to Dance Week! It was such a great time!

We know that it was a week no child will ever forget. Thanks for taking the time to be with your child!

And in the meantime...we found some real talent!

Dancing Angel

Marianne is our dancing angel. This performance at PointeBreak received a teary standing ovation. She will be the recipient of our Right to Dance Benefit Concert this year. We hope everyone will make it a "pointe" to attend!! February 25 at The Scera Center for the Arts. We love you Marianne! Your soul speaks when you dance!

Wow, what an amazing weekend!! Everyone was fabulous! The staff was amazing as always and the dancers worked so hard and did a great job too! We are already looking forward to next year!
